Eid festival
The Muslims enjoy some religious festivals. Enjoying Eidday is one of them. Eid is a communion of souls. It is the occasion for thanks giving to the Almighty. It awakens in us the spirit that stimulates us in giving a concrete shape to our worldly and spiritual life. Every year, the Muslims observe to Eids Eid-Ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha. Of the two, Eid-ul-Fitr is the biggest. It comes marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. On the Eid-Ul Fitr, people normally get up early in the morning. Then taking bath, they have firni, shemai, sweetmeats and so on. They exchange greetings with their friends and relatives. There they spend time in visiting their friends and neighbors. Actually people enjoy a solemn delight in Eid-ul-Fitr.

Pahela Baishak
A lot of festivals are held in our country round the year. Among these festivals, ‘Pahela Baishak’ is the most prominent common festival. It is celebrated on the first day of the bangla new year. The day is celebrated with traditional festivities across the country. It is a public holiday. People wearing traditional dresses attend different programmes. Different organizations arrange various cultural programmes. On the occasion, various types of fairs and exhibitions are held throughout the country both in villages and towns. To celebrate Pahela Baishak is a part of our Bengali culture and tradition
